Why choose a Shampoo or Conditioner Bar?

Simply they are concentrated bars filled with natural botanicals and natural ingredients that can promote the health and strength of your hair. Each bar takes the place of 2-3 shampoo/conditioner bottles! Crazy yet true. Bars set aside after use to dry will last months and months. Preserved with an eco-cert preservative your bar will never turn or show signs of spoilage. Our Shampoo Bars offer gentle cleansing and conditioning naturally and PH Balanced. Having PH Balanced Bar is key to having healthy hair and scalp. Unfortunately not all Shampoo Bars are created equal and PH plays a big role as our needs a PH of 4-6.

Other Shampoo Bars that can not control their PH are those created through Soaping. These are formulated with a lye and oil method and no matter how nourishing the other ingredients seem, they can't reduce the PH which is typically on the low side 9 and high side 11. These are the bars you require an acid rinse such as apple cider vinegar. The problem faced with this method is that you have already parched every cuticle of the hair stand leaving them rigid and dry. The rinse is to drop the PH of the Shampoo process and close the hair shaft and cuticle. Again unfortunately our strands are delicate and once parched they do not seal the same creating fractures in the strand which catch, tangle and eventually break. The use of conditioner may mask the damage for a while but eventually the build up will create breakage.

Cleansing with Shampoo Bars that are PH Balanced for your hair can decrease the need to wash as frequently. Many individuals can manage 2-4 days between washes(depends on other products used in their haircare routine). If your hair is damaged, dry and showing signs of split ends(excessive), routine trims are in order to restore the health of the hair shaft. No products can repair badly damaged hair, although some can mask the problem by "coating" the hair strand, the damage however inevitably will consume more of the hair as it deteriorates the strand from the bottom up.
